After owning many pairs of the main competing brand, I tried Smith. I've switched completely. I got the Guide's Choice with the bi-focal option. They are perfect. The lenses are so convenient to just glance downward to use the magnification, but it doesn't hinder your everyday view, nor do you have to lift your head and roll your eyes way down to use that feature (like you do in the competition). If you've like the other big brand of glasses, you'll like these better.

I was the guy who took my readers on every fishing trip and either took off my sunglasses or worst yet,put my readers on over my sunglasses! Not anymore! The Guides Choice Bifocals are perfect! And the prescription strength is accurate. I don't know what i was waiting for. Great quality, stylish and affordable. Life on the boat is so much easier.

Great glasses! Good coverage. Bifocal is low enough that it doesn’t Interfere with regular vision. Doesn’t slip when sweating. Love them.

Glasses are great. However, nowhere in the product description on the Smith Optics website did I see that the 200 model referred to +2. 00 bifocal power and 250 referred to +2. 50. I would have bought the 250 and not 200 had I known. Maybe I am just getting slow in my old age ;)

Excellent lens quality. The bifocal size is on the larger size & can somewhat obstruct your view when looking downwards ahead (when hiking for example) but otherwise the bifocal magnification is quite helpful. The frame does run on the larger size size I’d say. Good sun protection however. The included glasses cord is awesome.

Works well.

These are quality sunglasses which could be 5-star; however, the 2. 0 magnification is too much. It would be nice to choose the magnification.

Love these! Allows me to read, do fine work and still look vool! And do. all. my favourite activities.

Readers in sunglasses is a game changer. I wish these glasses came in smaller frame options AND i wish there was an option for low-light conditions. These sunglasses are way too dark for sunset dry-fly fishing.

Great glasses, excellent service and response

Great sunglasses. On the rivers regularly fly fishing. After 8 hours on the water, my eyes still feel relaxed. These glasses sit light on your nose and never once feel heavy. The color lenses make picking up fish below the water's surface easier. This is one of the few times where a new pair of lenses has the bifocal part of the lens in the correct space. It's not an effort to look down, tie on a fly, and then look straight ahead without adjustments. I will definitely be getting another pair for backup. I highly recommend these glasses.

Excellent optics and the bifocal lenses are so handy when tying knots and flies on a moving boat. Just wish they also came in a blue lens colour, which I prefer for salt water fishing.

I took a chance and bought some bifocal Guide's choice for flyfishing and they are working out great. I used to bring my readers and wear them around my neck and then put them over the top of my other Guide's Choice sunglasses. I was worried they would get in my line of sight, but I don't even notice them and I don't have to worry about the readers anymore.

Finally a good quality pair of sunglasses with reading lenses for older sports people like me. I use them for boating. I need to be able to read the details on the GPS while steering the boat. When the snow flies I will use them for skiing.

Excellent sunglasses for those who need bifocals to tie on a fly. Great fit and cuts down the glare on the water.

Bi focal is a must these days. Instead of “Guide” they should be called “Old Patroller”. I wear my Guide sunglasses every day, every season and love them. My only request is that they are made with a glass lens , like the old T- nine series.

Nice clarity. Bifocal helps with reading, fishing, driving a vehicle.

These are really great fishing lenses and the bifocals simplify time on the river
John T
Great glasses only wish the bifocals were available in more shades and styles
Christopher S
Exactly what I needed for fishing and tying on flies without changing glasses.
Steve M
I fish a lot and these glasses fit perfect and don't fall off your face. The polarization is excellent. Bifocals are great.
Paul W
Perfect lens for river/stream fishing here in CO, I don’t need my prescription any longer, so 250 reader is just right

Concerned about the durability of the non-glass lenses

Who are you calling old? All jokes aside, the Bifocal lens that this Guides Choice sun-glass has is a game changer. I am at the point where I need a little help to read fine print (or my phone). I work outside, and wear sun-glasses often. These are optically excellent, and the Bifocal helps me see details while saving on eye fatigue. My only complaint is that more styles aren't offered with the Bifocal lens.

They are excellent for fishing. Reduces sun glare, love the polarization and LOVE the bifocals. As I'm getting 'older' and my eyes are going to crap the bifocals are awesome for tying flies and tying line. Oh my wife said I look really good in them! HA Highly recommend
John M
These sunglasses are perfect for me in almost all the functional aspects - they fit well, they stay on, the bifocal lense is well placed, optics are great, polarization is great. But can you make your bifocals in a more attractive style of glasses? Maybe one with a smaller ear piece that looks a bit less like it belongs on a grandpa?
John D
Having bifocals makes life much easier, and with Smith it does it with pure style!
Kevin C
Great quality, superior protection and light frame. Highly recommended

Perfect fit, love the color ,this is my second pair. I don't use the strap.
